One way draw from Freedom and a centre close sewn from the Spotlight fabric.
In the past it has only been possible to get S Wave curtains custom made,
but recently this style is becoming available in the stores.
Freedom has a range of S Fold/S Wave ready made curtains with the
necessary tracks to match their curtain sizes.
The length is 280cm length, which comes with a DIY iron on hemming tape so you can
make it the length you need.
These S Wave curtains come as a one way draw but can be made into a centre close if
you join two tracks and buy 2 packets of curtains that match the track sizes,
example: 2 x 140cm makes a total track length of 280cm.
Always match the hooks in the tape to the amount of runners you have in the track,
even numbers EG 22,24,26 assures that the end and middle hems return back to the wall.
Each two runners makes a pleat.
If there is an extra runner use it for the flick stick, use the second runner from the leading
(centre) edge.
There is a lot of fabric in the larger sizes, it can feel very overwhelming to do your own hems.

READY MADE INFORMATION FOR FREEDOM S WAVE CURTAINS
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thin Freedom track with Freedom sheer curtain
(Alteration was done on the bottom hem)
Freedom has a slim line and thicker style pelmet track,
Colours: White and Black (picture of thicker track below).
Hand drawn.
One way draw or centre close, depending on which way you use the track sizes.
Pro's:
- I like the sliders in this track they are very smooth
- the installation was easy
- I like the deep hem at the top of the curtain
- It comes with a double track so you can do two layers
Con's
- I don't like it that you see the runners between the track and the top of the tape,
(this is only noticeable on the thin track)
if you hang the track up higher you might not notice this as much or
use the pelmet track (the curtain will sit up to the track).
WIDTH SIZES LENGTH
140 cm Use 4 brackets 280cm
180 cm Use 4 brackets
220 cm Use 6 brackets
280 cm Use 6 brackets
360 cm Use 8 brackets
The ideal spacing between each bracket should be 60-75cm.
Single brackets are included in the packaging.
All the tracks from Freedom are set up as a one way draw, The block out, lining and
sheer curtains are packaged to fit the tracks as one way draw.
The 2 larger size tracks have a join in the centre of the track, (280cm, 360cm), use the track joiner.
The tracks and curtains are colour coded with dots, some tracks give you different
curtain options, this has to do with the fullness ratio of the curtain.
The lining does not have the same fullness ratio as the block out or sheer, this is
because it is often used behind the sheer so then it won't matter so much how full it is.
S Wave Curtains will only work with an S Wave track.
If you are not sure what to get on line pop into one of their stores or ring them,
the staff will be happy to help you.
If you do the double track you have to buy the double brackets separately,
make sure you then also buy two tracks per window.
The double track bracket is 15cm in length, keep this in mind if you are planning
to install a double bracket in a small room, perhaps choose a blind with a single track
which has a sheer or block out curtain instead, so as to not take up to much space
in the room.
QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions about the Freedom S Fold:
Can you have the one way draw either at the left or right side of the track?
Yes you can choose what side, there is a small screw that is inserted at the end of the
track in front of the last runner, this locks the end in place.
Won't there be to much fabric if I use a one way draw?
Allow extra stack back on the side the curtains are drawn, (only if it is a block out fabric).
Train your block out curtains into even folds once it is hanging up, this will get rid of
the bulk in the fabric, sheer curtains cannot be trained but will relax into their folds.

Hook placement for S Wave Curtains
I like to start on the 4th or 5th pocket, this ensures that the return reaches
back to the wall, it also hides the track, so gives a neater finish.
If you have a double track you can make the return larger, hook it on to an
eyelet in the wall , at the same level as the other runners.
The hooks are inserted in every 7th-8th pocket (every 5th pocket for the lining fabric).
The range can be between every 5th to 9th pockets
It also does not matter if some of the pockets are 1 pocket size in difference,
you will not notice this small discrepancy.
