The reason you might like to use the continuous eyelet curtains available in store is that:
- There are occasionally some nice quality fabrics available in the continuous eyelets
- The fabric is continuous, this means there will be no vertical seaming
- I can sew the side and bottom hems up for you, this results in a more even and
professional looking curtains.
The fullness for this curtain is 1.6 - 1.8 x the window width.
Eyelet curtains do not need a lot of stack back space and stack up neatly and without any fuss.
Pro's
-It is easy to install
-It is a cheaper alternative to other curtain headings
-It is a good style to use if you only have minimum stack back space
Con's
-It does not have an overlap in the center of the curtains
-It needs to be arranged evenly when you draw the curtains close
-I find triple weave fabrics hard to cut and sew, if you are a beginner and
want to sew your own curtains use a block out fabric instead
If you want to sew your own eyelet curtains have an even number of rings,
this makes sure that on both ends the return fold back to the wall.
